BULLYING.We all know what it is and we should all know it doesn't just occur in "real life."
Sadly but truly, it happens a lot more on the internet than people realise.
I give myself as an example of being a victim of internet bullying.
For the better part of a year I was bullied by someone on the internet. They lived roughly 13,000 kilometres away from me and yet they were still able to treat me like shit and make me feel like everything I did wasn't worth anything.
They would contact me in private and proceed to ridicule me, make me feel like crap and be generally horrible to me.
It didn't stop there - they turned my friends against me, people who I thought knew me enough to know I didn't do the stupid and pathetic things this person said I was doing.
It wasn't until a long time later that I made a stand against this person that they finally stopped harrassing me. Every now and then they like to see if they can get my goad up but honestly, I just laugh at their patheticness now and realise how sad it is of them. To seek out someone who lives
thirteen thousand kilometres away and ridicule them is beyond sad.
Unfortunately, I am not the only victim of bullying.
Internet bullying is more active than most people realise.
The bullies will keep on bullying because they know people are scared and won't say anything against them.
Since these bullies aren't face to face with the person they are bullying, they get away with it so much easier. There isn't the confrontation that usually happens with bullies and therefore, they keep on bullying, making it seem like they are right in what they are doing.
BULLYING IS WRONG!
If you see someone being bullied, if it is on the internet or in real life, do something about it! Don't let it go unnoticed! If you can't do anything about it, inform someone else, someone you trust.
If you're being bullied on a community or in a forum, let a moderator know, they (hopefully) will be able to help!
MAKE A STAND.
I know I did.
